At Allen Commercial Door, one of the things we offer are windows. We offer an assortment of styles and types but there is one that we want to highlight today. That being vinyl windows. How do you know if they are right for you? Keep reading to find out.
One of the main benefits associated with vinyl windows is their energy efficiency. These windows are airtight. Meaning you will not literally be throwing money out the window by overworking your heating and cooling systems. With vinyl windows, you can rest assured that they will efficiently keep the air you want inside the house.
But just because these windows form a tight seal, does not mean that they jam and are difficult to open and close. They are quite easy to slide open and closed, in fact. Additionally, these windows prove superior to wood and metal since they do not warp or dent as those materials tend to do.
Vinyl windows are also easy to maintain. The sashes are easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. And if a panel ever does become damaged, they are also quite easy to replace on your own if you wish.
Really the only major downside to vinyl windows is their lack of style options. Compared to wood frames, vinyl comes in a small selection. With wood, not only are there a plethora of natural styles and color choices, but they are also easily stained or painted if your preferences change down the line. Vinyl on the other hand, does not take well to paint. To avoid ugly peeling, it is usually best to simply replace the panel with the new color of choice rather than try to paint them.
Ultimately, vinyl windows are popular for a reason. For most, the pros far outweigh the cosmetic cons. If you would like to know more about the brands of vinyl windows we carry and why we trust them, why not give us a call? We would love to discuss all your window options with you.
